Watch: First trailer of the new Harry Potter mobile game
A brand new mobile game set in the Harry Potter universe has its first teaser trailer.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery sees players create their own character and experience life as a student at Hogwarts, with mini games and challenges revolving around attending classes and forming friendships and rivalries. It is the first game in which players can create their own character and experience life as a Hogwarts' student.
The role-playing game (RPG) will span the player’s years at the school
It has been developed by Jam City, in collaboration with Portkey Games, the newly-formed arm of Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment that creates titles set in JK Rowling’s Wizarding World.
The developers confirmed its launch this spring on iOS, Android and Amazon.
A special preview of the game will be presented to fans at the ‘A Celebration of Harry Potter’ event at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida at the end of the month.
Jam City chief executive Chris DeWolfe said: “Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a role playing experience about magic, friendship, and life as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
“We can’t wait to give fans a first look at the game at A Celebration of Harry Potter, and this spring players will be able to explore Hogwarts fully in their journey toward becoming a witch or wizard.”
