Daisy Clark's Worlds Away - Out NOW!

Daisy Clark, the 19-year-old internet sensation from Cornwall releases her debut original single, Worlds Away.

With a style described as a mix between Eva Cassidy and Ed Sheeran, the Cornish singer-songwriter released her debut original single Worlds Away on 6th June, just in time for summer! The song was recorded at Mark Ronson’s studio.

Having played out her success story in front of the world’s eyes when her cover of the Grease classic Hopelessly Devoted to You went viral racking up over 12 million views earlier this year, Worlds Away’s theme is a fitting exploration of how relationships can change as a result of fame. The summery, upbeat track explores how her relationship with an ex-boyfriend changed as a result of her newfound fame.

Daisy said: “Since releasing the cover of Hopelessly Devoted to You, life has been so different. The support I got from my fans and music lovers around the world has been amazing and overwhelming! I’ve been gigging around the country and writing and recording brand new material and I’m really excited to be releasing my first original track. To write the track I explored the idea of success and what it means to relationships but with a really upbeat summery vibe. To have so many fans around the country buying tickets for my gigs and asking for more of my music to be released is a dream come true, and I hope my story encourages other up and coming musicians to pursue their dreams.”

The teenage singer-songwriter from Quintrell Downs near Newquay in Cornwall, rose to fame earlier this year when she was asked to record and release her cover of Hopelessly Devoted to You by Warner Music’s We Are Instrumental label. She was originally spotted and signed by Music Crowns, a promotion platform for unsigned and independent music artists. The track knocked Ed Sheeran off the number 1 spot on the iTunes singer songwriter charts twice, earning Daisy some celebrity fans, from James Arthur to Dawn French, and thrust her onto the world stage.

Unable to remember a day when she hasn’t sung, Daisy taught herself guitar, piano and started writing her own music aged 13. Over the past few years she has built herself a steady fan base in her home county of Cornwall and online, with videos of her own original songs and covers garnering millions of views.  **We have an exclusive interview with Daisy in September's hard copy edition of Future. **
